I took this photo a couple of years ago while visiting the sand dunes in Colorado. It has always been one of my favorite pictures. I love how the texture and color of the sand makes the dunes look like snow covered mountains, and the people I had caught in the picture look microscopic in comparison. There is a contrast in the color of the sand dunes and the sand on the ground because of the way the light is shining. All of the thousands of footprints in the sand form an overwhelming pattern of those who had marvelled at the sand dunes like I had.
i love this photo. it seems really...sheer? and gorgeous. the sand dunes look like soft edged mountains. i've never been but this photo makes me want to go.
ReplyDeleteBeing that I'm from Colorado makes me love this picture even more....we would take anything we could find from pizza boxes to trash can lids and ride down the dunes.
