THE MAGIC HANDS OF MAN......

THESE PICTURES(THE TOP ONE AND THE ONE BELOW) I TOOK THEM ON MONDAY AT EXPLORATION PLACE DOWNTOWN. I HAVE ALWAYS BEEN FASCINATED BY THIS BRIDGE, LIKE THE PICTURE ABOVE I TOOK THE PICTURE TRYING TO SHOW THE VIEW OF THE SKY BECAUSE THE WHETHER THAT DAY WAS REALLY NICE. I ALSO TOOK IT IN SUCH A WAY AS TO SHOW THE WAY THE SUN WAS REFLECTING ON THE TOP OF THE BRIDGE,IT MAKES THE METALLIC FORM TO SHINE .ALSO THERE IS ANOTHER VAGUE PICTURE ON THE RIGHT THAT I WILL TALK ABOUT NEXT TIME I UPLOAD IT, SORRY...
THIS ONE HERE I TOOK IT IN SUCH WAY AS TO CAPTURE THE VIEW OF THE RIVER AND THE TREES IN THE BACK AND THE WHOLE BRIDGE, IF REALLY LOOK NICE AND IF YOU LOOK REAL CLOSE, IT LOOKS LIKE THE GREAT SHIP EVER BUILT TITANIC...

AND THIS ONE I TOOK IT OUTSIDE THE ENTRANCE TO THE MUSEUM DOWNTOWN ON 2ND AND MEAD. WHAT I LIKED ABOUT THIS PICTURE IS THE WAY THE MOTHER IS CLUTCHING HER BABY;THIS IS A GREAT SYMBOL OF LOVE AND TO HAVE IT ON THE ENTRANCE OF A MUSEUM, WELL THAT IS AMAZING-IT LIKE THEY ARE TRYING TO SHOW THAT INSIDE THE MUSEUM IS FULL OF LOVE!!

Good vibrations

Perfect use of extra space.

Quicksilver

The real definition of form.

Good times

View on a saturday night.

Weight room again

Stacked weights.

Weight room

Tiles in the weight room.

Week #5 Sand

I took this picture at a lake. I was really interested at the way the picture came out. The ways the sand is formed under the water is very intriguing.

Faded Love

I chose to take a picture of my roses I got for Valentine's day...because they have this really sad look about them. (could be because I haven't given them anymore water...) But everyone wants fresh new flowers that are perky and beautiful and I found beauty in this wilted, dying rose. It reminds me of our life, and as we age we slowly but surely lose our outer beauty--and must rely on what lies inside.

Outside my house.

I was just taking pictures outside my house for this blog and I just pointed my camera up towards the sky and this is what I got. I really like how the trees are covering the horizon.

pain much?

today i went on a long bike ride well because didnt feel like running and i found this big ball of barb wire rolled up, i did the whole black and white effect because it makes the picture look really cool. it looks so interesting dont you think?

Lakeside View

I love this picture, because it shows the reflection of the sun across the lake. You can also see the pattern of ripples in the water.

Leaves Under Water.

I took this picture while standing over a pond looking down through the water. I thought it was cool because when you look at the picture you can't even really tell the leaves are under water because they are perfectly still.

Bent Steel.

This structure reminded me of Richard Serra. The steel is beautiful because it has been made to look elegant and almost fragile. Paired with the decorative light I think it is really cool looking.

Duck Feathers.

Most of the pictures I have posted have been of landscape. I was happy that I could mix it up a little bit with this picture. I was struck by the vibrancy of the color on this duck. The colors look so beautiful together-the emerald green and white with a little orange/yellow thrown in.

Bark.

I thought the bark on this tree was unique-it has a different texture and the color looks really interesting when caught on film.

Old fashioned church.

This is a church in Riverside where I grew up. I passed it everyday walking to and from school. I've always thought it was really beautiful just because it is simple and old fashioned. I wish that more buildings had this type of style instead of everything being so modernized looking.

End of Another Day

This picture taken near a lake in Manhattan. I really love it because you can see the relflection of the clouds off the water and in a way looks like waves.

Weird Tree

I took a picture off this tree because it is cool how it has three big trunks. I also like how it is whit at the top and brown at the bottom.

Walnut Waterfall

This is a picture of a waterfall in the Walnut River. I like how the sun is shining off the water, and how the water hitting the other water on the bottom makes it look white.

Old Barn

This is a closer picture of the back barn. I focused more on this picture. I think it lets you see more detail.

Old Days

These are old barns that are about to collapse. I took this picture because i like how old buildings look sitting in a field.

River

This is a picture of a different spot at the Walnut River. I like this picture because the rocks all the way at the far back.

Bridge Over a River

This is a railroad bridge that is built over the Walnut River. I like this picture because it is a peaceful looking place.

forgotten

We clean our house every week but somehow miss this light. Now it's just a collection of cob webs. I liked that even though the light reflects off of parts of the light the cob webs still shine through and are noticable.

Plummer TR 10:00

This is a picture of a tree in my front yard with my neighbors yellow house behind it. I thought it would look good with the yellow behind the brown tree limbs.
I took this picture of the plant on the outside of town and I thought it just looked really cool with the lights and also you can see the flags flying which is also cool.

Valentines

I really like roses and I thought this would make a very nice picture. I like how the lines of the petals bring your eyes into the darker middle.

Got Money?

This is a house near my grandma's and I just really thought the architecture was beautiful! It is such a huge house and counting all the fireplaces...well it's crazy! I'm really into architecture and drawing out floor plans so just imagining the inside of this house is pretty amazing.

through the wire

i drove out in the country and on my 12 mile run there isnt alot to do except look around and i noticed this barb wire fence and so i decided to take a picture of it, i found the post to be very interesting since most these days are metel and not just a large stick as this one, came out pretty good dont cha think?

week 4- lit up

neat rows of candles with a few flames lit in a church. the light next to the dark, smoke covered black candle-holder draws the eye toward the left center of the photo. the pattern is clearly depicted in the layers of candles upon candles.

Week #4

This picture interested me because of the way the light shines through the leaves. It makes a different kind of shape and becomes the focal point of the picture.

Purity Springs

I saw the name of this street and thought it was so funny. So the angle that I took the photo there is a distinct pattern in the clouds and the trees behind the sign. So even though the main focus is the sign the natural elements behind the sign are what make it stand out.

hole in the wall

I took this through a peep hole in a door at my parents house. I love how the view is very limiting. The subject matter is kind of scattered but the way the shadows of the hole keep it enclosed makes it very interesting.

Rain Drops

Like I said before I like the rain and when I got in my car I notice that the fallen rain drops were making a cool shapes and patterns on my windshield.
